You can’t get fast food from Kihnu Küek’s kitchen, instead food is meant to be enjoyed here to soak in the life and culture of Kihnu island.
The small but fun family of Kihnu Küek has given away their arms, hearts and all their love to this fantastic treasure island. By cooking food at their own home, the guests are served dishes that are the family’s favourites as well – anything with fish. Guests are always greeted with warm welcomes.
Kihnu Küek’s “Flavourful experiences with Kihnu cuisine” has been awarded with EHE (Genuine and Interesting Estonia) label for eco-friendly tourism.
Jana, the matron of the Kihnu Küek will instruct you how to make your very first Baltic herring rolls or you can learn how to gut and salt a fish. Autumn is spent learning how to make compotes. Tales of food and cooking are shared, tips and experiences are disclosed and in the end, everybody gets to eat what they learned to cook.
Take the time to enjoy food and experience the life and culture of Kihnu.
