The museum introduces the history of food-related traditions. The “Discover and wonder” collection opened in 2017 provides an overview of changes in rural daily life from the 19th century to early 21st century. Our central exhibit is the lighted display table with the installation on changes in food-related traditions of Estonians and Baltic Germans.
Practical workshops are held in the museum about making bread, barley bread and other traditional Estonian foods. The workshop dates are announced on the homepage of the museum or can be booked in advance.
Groups are served Estonian national foods on advance booking.
